MANU GINOBILI DIZ "ADEUS" AO BASQUETE!
Emanuel David Ginóbili, mais conhecido como Manu Ginóbili, anunciou sua aposentadoria dia 27 de Agosto, "Hoje, com uma grande mistura de emoções, eu anuncio que decidi me aposentar do basquete. O jogador foi um dos melhores estrangeiros da história da NBA, argentino que atuava como ala-armador, defendeu por dezesseis anos a equipe do San Antonio Spurs.
Aos 41 anos, Manu Ginobili, estava no 23º ano como jogador profissional de basquete. Ele passou 16 anos na NBA , vestindo a camisa do San Antonio Spurs, conquistou quatro títulos da liga americana, além de uma medalha de ouro com a Argentina na Olimpíada de Atenas, em 2004.

O prefeito de San Antonio, Ron Nirenberg, declarou 30 de agosto como "Dia de Manu Ginobili", uma homenagem ao jogador. "É um dos jogadores mais queridos na cidade, selecionado pelo San Antonio Spurs no draft de 1999. Sua trajetória esteve repleta de sucesso, incluindo quatro títulos de campeão da NBA", disse o prefeito durante a cerimônia de homenagem.
Manu Ginobili é reconhecido como lenda do basquete no mundo inteiro. É, inclusive, um dos poucos neste esporte a movimentar todos os continentes.

San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg declared Aug. 30 as "Manu Ginobili Day," a tribute to the player. "He is one of the most beloved players in town, selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1999 draft. His career has been full of success, including four NBA champion titles," the mayor said during the tribute ceremony.
Manu Ginobili is recognized as a basketball legend worldwide. It is even one of the few in this sport to move all continents.
It is that the player, besides being Argentine, had a unique trajectory. First, it dominated Europe, with EuroLeague. Then the whole world with the Olympics. Finally, the most sacred land of basketball - that is, North America - with the NBA.
